Foot Reflexology · Tui Na · Flushing, NY
Taiji Foot Wellness 太极养生馆 brings traditional Chinese foot reflexology, warm herbal foot soaks and Tui Na body massage to 41st Road in the heart of Flushing. Sit back, slow down and let tired feet, tight shoulders and a busy mind settle.
Welcome to Taiji
In Chinese thought, Taiji (太极) is the balance of yin and yang: rest and activity, warmth and coolness, effort and ease. Long shifts, hours at a desk and New York commutes push that balance out of shape, and our feet carry most of the load.
Our therapists start every foot session with a warm herbal soak, then work through the reflex zones of the soles, heels and toes with steady thumb pressure, finishing with the calves and shoulders. It is a quiet, unhurried hour that many guests describe as the first time all week they have truly sat still.
Treatments
Every visit can be tailored. Tell us where you feel tension and how much pressure you like, and we will shape the session around you.

Settle into a reclining chair or massage bed, tell us about any sore spots and choose your pressure.
A basin of warm water with herbs and salts softens the feet and helps the whole body start to relax.
Steady thumb and knuckle pressure moves zone by zone across the soles, arches, heels and toes.
Calves, shoulders and neck are loosened last. Take a moment, sip some warm water, and step out lighter.

Wellness guide
Each foot holds 26 bones, 33 joints and thousands of nerve endings, and it absorbs the impact of every step you take. Chinese reflexology maps areas of the sole to other parts of the body, and practitioners have used this map for generations to guide a relaxing, whole-body foot treatment.
Many guests come to us after long days on their feet, to ease tension after desk work, or simply to sleep better after a calm hour of care. Reflexology is a relaxation practice, not a medical treatment, and it pairs well with whatever care your doctor recommends.
